Tag Archives: Freebie – Silhouette

The files and other things that I lay out as freebies works for me on my computer with the tools I use. I do not guarantee that everything works for you. There should not be any problem, and if there is something special with something it says so in the post.

Plan your Blog posts

To write a blog requires a little planning times, especially if you write a creative blog that require you to have created something to blog about. To help myself a little bit along the way, I have a section in my binder for my blog. It contains my plans as well as a calendar. The calendar, however, was skipped very quickly, it’s easier to use a calendar in Google Calendar to schedule when and what I want to post.

blogplaning

I don’t do everything on this list every time I blog, but I have tried to cover all the bases. This list may not work for you, but hopefully you get inspired by it. Of course you can download my version (as a  file for Silhouette Studio or as a PDF) and using Washi tape to cover what’s not working for you.
I have used this a couple of months now, and have things I’ll change when I create the next one. I have among other things been adding something and I have things that are unnecessary.

What it says?

It’s hard to get inspired when you don’t know what it says, right?

Material List:

New pages to my binder: Notes, read books and Settings for Silhouette Studio

Today there will be a new small package of loose pages from my binder.

Notes and lists

The package contains one page for notes, one page to remember all the books you’ve read (with a little connection to Goodreads) and two pages that I use to get my Silhouette cutting machine to work optimally.

Notes

I use my pages of notes as a small notepad or notebook. Since my binder is always beside me at the desk, it is easy to write down things I don’t want to forget. The piles with notes that’s always have been all over my desk is now almost completely gone.

Notes

Sometimes my note is something I just need to remember right now before I write it where it belongs. I working on reducing my stress, but I don’t always have the time to write everything on its proper place. On those occasions I use a little note that I (washi)tape it into the note pages.

Books I've read

My annual list of books tend to be quite long, this year my Goodreads goal is 70 books. Usually I finish a book in the evening, and it’s not always the best time to put it on Goodreads (their app and I’m don’t totally agree). Moreover, it is great to stock up on the list when it is so visible 🙂
On these pages I fill in the title of the book, author and ISBN number. There is also space to record the date when I started the book, and when I finished it, and what kind of book it is (this makes it easier if I’m not already have the book in my library on Goodreads, and will have to look for it). I also try to give the book a rating and then there is a box to tick when I brought the information to Goodreads.

Silhouette

Last pages is about Silhouette Studio. One page holds the settings for the knife and the other page is a blank page for notes. I use the last to remember the little tricks and tips. I use the settings page when I try a new material. These settings do not always work, but they give a clue to what I usually use. It hangs very much on how much the blade is worn.

That was this package. I create pages faster than I can blog about, so I will package pages this way from know. There are going to be theme packages and mixed packages depending on how many pages I have to fit together.

The files are as usual available in a PDF so you can print out and put in a separate folder, or as a cut file for Silhouette Studio if you use the same type of binder as me.

Materal list:

For all those things you got to remember

To make my very full head less messy, I write to-do lists. Lots of lists and then a couple lists to the lists. All these notes and papers are everywhere and I lose them. Not a great way to reduce the mess and stress.
These pages are now in my binder, and they help me a lot. I know where they are and they are not lost. I combine with the weekly planning and every Sunday I sit down and check the coming week and write down everything important.

To Do

I use the daily one to sort out what is important and what must be done in a day. I mix the cleaning with blogging and job tasks. I use the blank page when there are bigger things going on, a party, a trip or something that require a bit more tracking.

As usual, there are two files, one for Silhouette and one PDF that you can print.

More to the Calendar

The calendar I made had very small boxes, partly because I use a small format (A5), and partly because I see it more as an overview.
Here are my more useful pages for the binder . There are a total of three pages, where one page is two. 😉

Holidays (the purple one) provides an overview of our Swedish holidays and a few other days as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day Valentine’s Day and so on.
Dates to remember (blue in front) I myself like very much. I filled in the birthdays, major events and other important dates. The pages give a quick overview of what will come.
The weekly plan (the other blue) is the one I use most my self. This one are my regular calendar. There is plenty of space to write what I do every day. If you are able to use my file for Silhouette Studio you also get a perforated corner that you can remove from when the week is over. Would you rather put the pages in a regular binder you can decorate a paper clip and use as a bookmark.

The file for Silhouette Studio is a print n cut. The holes at fit in the binder I have chosen, but you can easily remove these holes and put in you own.
Would you rather use a binder with Swedish holes (ore some other binder) you can download the PDF containing the same blades. They are laid out on an A4, so you print them easily on a desktop printer and then cut out your pages.

Swedish calendar for 2016

Step one in my new more organized life 🙂
A calendar with Swedish holidays, and some other goodto-rememberdays like Mothers- and Father’s Day, summer- and winter time, etc.

I will use this as an overview. The boxes are relatively small, I use A5 format, so there is not very much room for notes. For bookings and things like that I use Google Calendar. I will also add a few other pages.

Swedish calendar 2016

When I created these I realized that I never find a good calendar to put on the fridge. I‘d love to have one there, not to fill in a lot (again, that I use Google Calendar for), but to get a little overview, or just to check how many days ago I was suppose to throw out the milk.
I printed every month on thicker paper and fastened all of them with a clip. Perfect overview and you can squeeze in a birthday or three in the boxes.

Calendar on the fridge

I have made this calendar as a print n cut for those who want to use a silhouette cameo or portrait. There are holes in the cut file suit for the binder that I have selected (more about that as soon as I got the front finished). Do you want to have other holes, select ungroupe and takes away the my holes.

If you would rather print the calendar and then make holes with a regular hole punch, choose to save the PDF file. It is done so that you can print on A4 and then cut out the calendar.
